The Assises de la simplification (conference on simplification) were held on 29 April 2011, chaired by Frédéric Lefebvre, Minister of State for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.

The measures proposed include placing on a statutory footing the particular legal position of a commercial lease that continues beyond its expiry date.
